With just a minute and thirty seconds left on the clock and St. John's clinging on to a one point lead, Good Counsel turned it over and Robbins drew contact on the other end. After he hit both free throws, Good Counsel committed another turnover to end the game.
This game really picked up in intensity early in the second half. Shots were falling on both ends of the court and when one team hit, the other immediately responded and so the score remained within one or two points for much of the remainder of the contest.
